All things asin every little thing

Growing up I've always heard that all things work together for good to those who love and serve the Lord, but only now have I truly been able to grasp the concept.

All things.....

The 'all' is not a typo and yes, it refers to every single little thing, including the worst moments of our lives. It is most obvious that when you are in the heat of the moment, you cannot see the good, but if we could master the art of stepping back and looking at the bigger picture, our vision would be enlarged and our understanding enlightened.

A relevant example would be Covid-19. If you look at the picture dimly, all you see is a worldwide crisis, increases in unemployment and an overall deterioration in the world as we know it, BUT having taken a step back, you will notice that because everyone was prohibited from moving around there was more time available for devotion, prayer and self introspection. Parts of the cities that were most dirty were finally cleaned, for a while earth could breath, no pollution, no congestion. For those whom were dependent on fellowship in a church finally learnt that they are infact the church, and we were actually always meant to fellowship with Christ ourselves, without dependency on anything or anyone. Yes people lost their jobs , but within that crowd we have the best of entrepreneurs that we would never have rose to the platform if life didn't forcefully encourage them. Yes many people have been starving but that has United the countries, and the humanity in humans has been most evident now than ever before.

So as you can see, the all truly refers to every single thing.

Work together for good......

See the good times aren't good without the bad times, and the bad times aren't bad without the good times, and this is because the latters meaning is found in comparison to the former, and vice versa. We are able to appreciate good moments because we know how we felt in bad times.

Both times exist for balance, if things were always good when would we be reminded of our need for God, if things were always bad then on what would we base our hope? The bible teaches that there is a season for everything, and indeed each season is equally important in its purpose.

To those who love and serve the Lord.

If you were wondering what the difference between believers and nonbelievers would then be, then here's the answer. This principle only applies to those who are His.

As a nonbeliever there is no security nor reassurance in tough times, just pain and uncertainty. For believers there is hope, and a promise that God will carry our loads, that every situation will end up working for our good either way.

So no matter how dark and lonely it gets, always be reminded of Gods promise. His grace carries us through the storms of life and there is promise for joy and everlasting life if anything else was not worth it, this should be.

May God continue to lead and guide us,

Stay blessed
